Ive never watched a tutorial for building, if you keep trying you kind of start to figure stuff out. Your first builds greatly outclass my first ones. My builds are pretty decent now, with pleeeenty of room to improve. Practice makes perfect.

Even unfinished this thing throws a shadow over 99% of the other ship creations I have seen. Perhaps your next creation could a cargo ship from the 30s/40s era?

@DarkTRPilot And that is why you always test fly it, test fly it again, and test fly it a few more times before posting lol. I swear theres always one little thing I miss that makes my build (that was probably already pretty bad) worse when I upload it.
@stool on the wings go to Control Surface in the XML editor, then put in activationGroup, then whatever activation group you want it to be
