Hi! I hope you don't mind, but I uploaded a variant of this with my own floats on it. I made sure to direct folks here to rate the original. I added the new floats to improve take-off from water. If you disapprove I will take down the upload.
@PlanesOfOld I'm not much interested in ships, unless they fly of course. I started building a Supermarine S.6B, but i was having trouble figuring out how to accurately shape the nose, since it has those two HUGE banks of cylinders. Not sure what my next Seaplane will be, but I'm finding cool stuff all the time.
@PlanesOfOld Why not just build props yourself and use wings to shape them to the size and shape you need. Walrus' props look great, but you can shape your own props from wings that look good too.
@PlanesOfOld That's one of the planes on my list that I want to build :P
What problems does your build currently have? Maybe I can help you sort them out.
Definitely the most complex entry so far. Not the most aesthetically appealing, but definitely original, and it's pretty effective. Bulldozing the ball into the scoop is pretty funny too. Overall, a solid entry to this competition.
Cool. Looking forward to the bi-plane. As for the nozzles, go ahead and upload it and let me see how they work, and then I'll decide. Probably they're fine, as long as they're not giving extra thrust or anything.
This model doesn't fly. It falls: with style!
Incredible cool build! It flies like garbage, but the fact that it flies at all is amazing considering what it is.
Top job!
@Wakescar I figured a challenge should be just that: A challenge. I'm all for design contests, but a challenge with a goal seems like it would be a lot more fun, and give the contestants a fun objective. If this challenge is really successful, I'll come up with other weird, objective based challenges later down the road :D
Pretty fun idea. I had to add a tail wheel to keep the rear strut from breaking off when I loaded the plane, but other than that, it's a pretty sweet little plane.
Excellent submission! The loading mechanism works every time, and the plane flies really well with the cargo. Landing is a little tricky, but not too difficult. Over-all a solid entry!
@WWIIPlaneBuilder Well, there were plenty of US experimental planes that weren't designated X. That's really more of a military thing. I have an idea for what I want to build for this challenge, and it's going to be a doosie.
Actually, the KM could fly, just not like a traditional aircraft. It used Wing in Ground Effect to gain a maximum altitude of about 10 meters. It would be nice if Simple Planes had a way of modelling that effect so people could make true WiG craft.
Excellent use of my floats! :D Great looking plane too!
Hands down the best looking and performing hovercraft I've seen. Top job!
Very Nice
@Cedy117 if you like I can try making a custom set for it.
Very Cool. The Goose is my favorite amphibian, and favorite Grumman design.

Transavia PL-12 Airtruk. These were used as agricultural aircraft in Australia. This isn't a bad representation of one.

@SpiritusRaptor Yeah. I think it was nicknamed "Agile Eagle". It was a modified F-15 with canards and two-dimensional thrust vectoring.
You should really consider making an F-15 STOL/MTD to add to your collection of thrust vectoring jets.
@PlanesOfOld Still planning to submit an entry? There's only a week left.
Very nice. The Hercules is on my list of seaplanes I want to build. I think you did a fine job converting my model, though. Good work!
Sulphur Springs, Texas here.
@SpiritusRaptor I see. BTW, your new video is bananas!
Very nicely done. Great looking, excellent flight characteristics, and super easy to land. All around a great plane!
@PlanesOfOld lol Sorry I got the jump on ya.

Good job my friend, and congrats on being featured!
Superb plane. I can't land it for beans, but it handles awesome in the air!
Holy Cow! Featured again! Thanks everyone!
@THEaviator Sure. Go for it.
@PlanesOfOld That's one of the planes on my list that I want to build :P What problems does your build currently have? Maybe I can help you sort them out.
Looks incredible!
@Hypnoticchicken funny you mention that. While Porko Rosso's plane is fictional, it is supposed to be manufactured by Savoia
Very interesting design. Efficient, good flight characteristics, and aesthetically appealing. Good job!
Some really interesting gimbals you have there.
I've been wanting to make a Colonial Viper for some time now. This is a pretty decent rendition of one!

Good job! Flies well, picks up the ball with no problem, and easy to land. The fact that it's a replica is also a bonus :D

@PlanesOfOld lol that would have been awesome though.
@PlanesOfOld that's the idea lol

@Ocora Sea planes are my forte :L

Very well done.
Oh! Also really cool design. Love the paint-scheme!

@JoeAdkinson13 No modded parts. Thanks for asking, I forgot to add that into the description.
Insane!
Well designed and excellend handling! Great job!
So the entries have to be replicas of real-world experimental aircraft?

Good entry :D The vertical stabilizer is a little tall, but other than that your proportions are just about right.
@WeeBabySeamus congrats man. Sounds like you're living the dream.
@WeeBabySeamus Glad you like it, and thanks for featuring my plane! That's super awesome! Totally just made my day.
@DeathFromAbove Yeah, sea-planes are kind of turning into my thing :D
Holy smokes. My computer barely runs this monster!
