@Samfpanzer indeed, the tail assembly is copied from the P-24

@Ownedpilot impressive build, I wouldn't complain about the part count, at this point every potato phone should run 154 parts with ease, I will tell you honestly that I am impressed by how low the part count is given this thing's looks, I could have sworn it was higher

    @ShinyGemsBro okay, I hear you

  • IAR-80/81 one year ago

@ollielebanania thanks a lot, your feedback is appreciated, indeed, the building techniques used are outdated, I built this like I would have 5 years ago, to be honest, it's almost surprising to me that it turned out so well. I will get better eventually

  • IAR-80/81 one year ago

@SuperSuperTheSylph i am sorry to hear that, I did post an earlier version with a lower part count in the description, look for that one, it may run on your phone

This is cool, the front looks so much like a Passat b5

  • IAR-80/81 one year ago

@Trainzo thank you, I am glad you like it, it's original caracter is probably a result of the outdated building techniques used, I am still getting used to the new parts, it turned out way better looking than it has the right to be

  • IAR-80/81 one year ago

@KPLBall nahh you're fine, you got cockpits , not everyone can do that, the design is a bit unconventional but that's not a bad thing, it means you are playing the game the way it's meant to

  • IAR-80/81 one year ago

Huge thanks to the people credited, this plane couldn't be possible without them!

@DumbPlaneMaker I guess I could send you one of the really early versions
No cockpit , no camouflage pattern and also lacking many other things but it does have around that part count

@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 Hello, here is one I found, it has a fully modeled canopy and the shape is accurate
The planes on my list on the other hand have only low effort replicas made of them.

@DatFiat126Fan19 thank you for your words, to be honest, I value one or two people who are genuinely interested in this project of mine more than I would value 100 upvoted from people who probably got impressed by the thumbnail, upvoted and left, never thinking about the plane again.
Now that I am thinking about it, I built this plane more for myself, for the sake of the experience of playing and enjoying this game.
When I picked up simple planes again after so long I at first decided I will just have fun with the new parts and build fictional stuff, that mainly because I had bad memories of me struggling to make replicas back in the day.
Back then replicas were significantly harder until the blueprint mod got released and even then, cockpit work was a complete pain.
To add insult to injury, I was building for the points, I was a kid who didn't have to go to college😂 and obviously I had a lot of free time on my hands and without the maturity to apreciate free time and to be frank, an adult has many more ways of spending free times than a kid has, so yeah, I was playing SP compulsively. at least at the end of my "SP carrer" so to say I was building entirely for the points, got burned out and left eventually. It did get me to platinum but even as a kid I figured there are better things to do than to chase the dopamine rush from a number on a screen.

One day, years later, while I was trying to cool off by playing around in SP after learning one particularily tough course, a passing thought came into my mind, what if I was to try and make a replica again? and to the best of my ability to try and use the new parts and features to their fullest potential? And so this project began.
So going back to the beginning, I built it for fun, if 10 people just upvote and then mind their own business, it's cool and appreciated but not that big of a deal, if on the other hand, even one person is interested in the plane and enjoys following it's development and then that means quite a lot to me.

@MisterT thank you for your upvote, it especially means something coming from a builder like you!
Although this account is new, I am not exactly new to this game, and I am familiar with your builds, and I just like now , back in the day I used to find them very impressive.
