Well, i did an RC plane twice. The first , a 50cm motoglider, did well, but when i turned on the engine it stalled and was torn apart. The second plane, a 80cm powered one, had crashed once, with no damage.
I've also flown a light plane once with an instructor.
I would look forward to a build consisting of a spherical or hexagonal core, with beams forwards and backwards to allow placement of docking ports, radiators and also a greater rotative moment for turn engines/RCN. A single and powerful main engine on the back, still, to brake the ship you have to turn it 180°, but it is much better then having a special braking engine = more weight = more fuel consumption.
I'd empoly also a fleet of oval transport ships, which never land, accompanied with dozens of tiny transports like Space Shuttle in concept which carry the cargo to the surface or vice versa. Some ships may have bigger beams to allow docking, wider antennas, parallax effect. These ships will 100% have solar panels on their surface and in retractable "wings"
@RailfanEthan not actually sweet, it list the tournament. I'd prepare a full detail version once... or not. Actually i have a new plane under construction which is superior to Void and even some planes of the tournament!
@Wahoo12 i didn't use .mtl. The texture is made in photoshop and then aapplied via UV Mapping. This model is custom-made, not exported from the game, because the exported models are kinda hard to texture.
If you want to get the .mtl for an exported model, you should go to sp folder/exported model name
If you want to texture a model made by yourself, you need to prepare the uv maps. That is not so easy to describe here, s you should look for texturing lessons.
@Caveman999 @Tully2001 @ColonelStriker In Blender. I take the projections at the bottom of the plane page, make a model, texture it, then make a background (nothing special about it) and tgere it goes.

Diamond 42 MPP. Sexy, has a place for three freinds, quite noisy, has a range of cameras, scanners and scopes (i won a city astronomy olympiad) and has a lack of power. When it goes to the mountains, it falls hard (the incident with a Ukrainian Board Guard plane). And im not strong enough for mountain walks.
