I wanted to make something big and simple.
This fits the bill nicely, am I right?

Four 'floating' engines, with 140 inch propellers, each engine with 16k horsepower each for a total of 64k horsepower, push this along.

Lands and takes off quite nicely, no need for air brakes or braking 'chutes to get it to stop.

Will take off all by itself, but you will need to wait for that slight drop off at the end of the runway before it does.

Flies very slightly upwards if left alone, from straight and level that is.
