From Acepedia: The F-16XF was used during the early stages of the Intercorporate War, primarily by the General Resource Defense Force. However, export variant for the UPEO was also developed, known as the F-16XFU. It was used by GRDF ace pilot Keith Bryan. Nemo would also be able to use the UPEO variant of the plane. However, come later in the war, both variants would be retired for improved aircraft.[

@redbear89 Basically it uses external sensors to project whats outside either on screens or into your mind, as it connects to your brain and allows control through thoughts or body motions.
@SyntheticL COFFIN system.. In Ace Combat 3, there is no glass cockpit.. It's just like a drone, robot, computer, or something like that.. But it's still human control inside.. I hope i'm not wrong to describe that..
