PA PX-532ST (WORKING AUTO TRANSMISSION)

13.8k Griffon1  1.4 years ago

This vehicle has a working 5-speed automatic transmission, but it is very unrefined and more of a proof of concept that it can be done, so feel free to improve upon it if you would like.
A lot of the gearing system code was lifted from a manual transmission vehicle, but I stole the code so long ago I dont remember who made it.
(the build itself isnt very interesting, just a generic pickup truck.)
to apply this transmission to your own car you would need to copy over the engine, and all the variables, I think. I dunno this was uploaded on request.

The lore behind this is that this is the Phoenix Automotive PX-352 in the ST trim. It fills a similar niche as other lighter pickup trucks like the Ford Ranger, and the ST trim adds a V6 engine (compared to an I4 in the base model) and various other performance tuning.

Again, this is very unrefined and not realistic at all.

@Rocketguy2079 And I mean manual transmissions are finicky to get working in SP, especially in a way that is comfortable to use. The build I stole the code from used the VTOL slider as the shifter but I was having issues up and downshifting appropriately

posted as requested. feel free to pick it apart and if you manage to make sense of it and improve the coding and such, I'd love to see the result of it
