Designated as the Z-1800 Exoatmospheric Multirole Fighter by the UNSC, the Phaeton is a weapon-ship fielded in the billions by the Forerunners in the Forerunner-Flood war, but was also used during multiple Post-Covenant War conflicts. Each Phaeton has 2 energy cannons gimbal mounted to the chin as well as 4 Pulse Missile launchers in pairs on either side of the fuselage. The Contragravity generators can propel the Phaeton in any direction, but they can also allow the weapon-ship to teleport a short distance. As one of the smallest classes of weapon-ships deployed by the Forerunners, the Phaeton fills a similar role to the UNSC's AV-14 and AV-49 Attack VTOLs, providing cover for infantry, or attacking heavily fortified ground targets.

correct me, for I have monke memories

i remeber reading in one of the halo books, (the ones that give you specs, history, details, on vehicles and machines) that those could cook a person alive without the right equipment. Scary thought, but nice plane!
