VTOL for flaps and spoilers. (1-3) releases bombs. The Paternian Air Force sought a replacement, or at least a supplement, to the reliable but aging Pummeler. Liberty Systems, a foreign company, presented their design, known as the AT-12 Anvil. the Paternian Air Force was interested, as it was one of the few alternative designs that saw combat. While not satisfied with the design as it was, the Paternian Air Force saw potential and sought a revised variant.

Liberty produced said variant, which the Paternian Air Force accepted as the A-6 Anvil, and ordered 500 aircraft a month. However, as Liberty Systems did not have the ability to produce 500 aircraft a month, the work was contracted to Bandit Aircraft Group, who was responsible for PAF production of the type. While pilots initially regarded the type with some suspicion, they proved amicable to the new aircraft, liking the nosewheel landing gear which made landings considerably easier than the Pummeler.

    @HarperAstrionics I've still got to get my lazy a** up and do the Revolver and MBT reviews.

    @Liquidfox We aren't retiring the Pummeler, yet. It's still cheap, powerful, and well-armored. It does the job very well.

    That being said, the design's getting a bit old. Half of the Paternian Air Force's Pummelers are a collection of parts from five different aircraft, bolted on during the service life of the type.

    @HarperAstrionics It doesn't need to look good. Some of the best ground attack planes were probably ugly enough that only their mother would love them.

    But they looked like they meant business.

    We may adopt the type as well, or create our own. @Pilotmario

    @GoldenEagle @Himynameiswalrus @PINK We have a new prop-driven attacker, and it's not a Pummeler.
