A miniscule amount of tomfoolery
xml file is single cockpit, there's nothing to look at
It can actually store APNG, but of those i tried just one survived compression (that was two single-color frames, just over kilobyte total) (but thumb in catalog is stretched to size so even if it's png it won't have animation) and others (like right here) were converted to JPG. Real animation can't be lighter than JPG (because JPG is single-frame) so perhaps it's not really useful fact.
"Beta version on unknown platform" is Tampermonkey userscript, it's not related to SP itself
