Thats a negative impact force. They are different. Damage causes the health on a part to go down. (Or up in this case)
Impact force causes the hit object to be pushed forward or backward.
(Useful for tractor beams)
Anyway, yes, it has been tested, and its been known for a little while. I posted something a while back, (quite a whilw, i dont even remember when) showcasing it, and other people have too. Anyway, it only works on parts that have not yet been blown up, so you gotta be careful.
