Procedure:
Top 7 entries (based on upvotes) will enter a bracket style tournament, with matches decided in bouts of three dogfights (2 on medium proximity and 1 on close proximity). Dogfights ended by crashes, mutual destruction, or other anomalies will be redone. The match for first place will consist of 5 dogfights, 3 on medium and 2 on close. This procedure is designed to ensure emphasis on functionality as well as style. All matches will be simulated on high physics settings. Please upvote applicants generously! There is no limit to how many applications you can vote for, so if you want to see a design in the finals give it an upvote.
Rules:
-Maximum of 2 machine guns (no Gatling guns or other weapons)
-Maximum of 2 vintage engines, one turboprop engine, or three small props. NO HIDDEN ENGINES.
-No modded engines, guns, or negative mass blocks. Please ask about other mods before using them (link me in the comments below).
-Design must have landing gear and be able to take off under its own power (before the end of the runway).
-NO BLIMPS/BOATS/TANKS/NON AIRPLANES.
-Design must have at least 100 gallons of fuel. No infinite fuel.
Top three designs will be rereleased in bronze, silver, and gold paint jobs to reveal the winner. All applicants (including those not chosen for the top 7) are asked to upvote the original design (not the gold rerelease) as a reward for being the best dogfighter.

Does wing gun allowed?
The FE-88 made higher than I thought. I was unable to do any significant changes to either the mass or the maneuverability, so I reclassed it as a fighter-bomber. You said planes had to chase it, so a rear facing MG was added to the plane.

OI im almost done with a fighter jet, Consist of one turbo prop, one wing gun, and 4 - 6 interceptors, still debating, will it be valid?
Take my spitfire or my corsair and remove the inner guns plz I'm out of uploades
