The an-225 is powered by six turbofan engines and is the heaviest aircraft ever built, with a maximum take-off weight of 640 tons (710 short tons; 630 long tons). It also has the longest span of any aircraft in operational service. The only specimen built has the Ukrainian civil registry UR-82060.
