The sr-71 is a long-range, high-altitude, high-speed strategic surveillance jet used by the U.S. air force. Sr-71 reconnaissance aircraft adopted a lot of advanced technology at that time, such as titanium structure and turbojet/ramjet cycle engine. The sr-71 is the first aircraft design to consider stealth, the first use of radar absorbing materials, the conscious use of introverted double vertical tail to avoid strengthening the right Angle of radar reflection, is the first successful breakthrough of the thermal barrier of practical jet aircraft, combat records have not been any enemy aircraft or air defense missile shot down. The sr-71 reconnaissance aircraft began development in 1963 and was developed and produced by the skunk factory of Lockheed in the United States. It made its maiden flight in 1964 and entered service in 1966 with a total of 32 aircraft produced. Retired in 1990, part of the sr-71 was incorporated into the army in 1995, and the mission was launched in 1997. The sr-71a was permanently retired in 1998 and part of the sr-71b was put on display in the museum. Only one sr-71a and one sr-71b used by NASA's drayton flight research center were used for research.
