In the mid 1970s, the LA design bureau started developing a next generation air dominance fighter for the airforce. However, LA lacked experience in advanced fly by wire control systems and artificial stabilization programming, as well as modern aerodynamic research. To combat this, LA decided to make a technology demonstrator based on the proven LA T30BM2 design. The new jet, dubbed the T35 was meant to primarily test and develop new fly be wire systems, as well as test new aerodynamic surfaces, such as advanced flaps, slats and multi function, all moving elevators. The design bureau wanted to push the limits of manouverability with what was possible without thrust vectoring. The swept back wings of the T3 were replaced with new delta wings equipped with multi functional flaps and ailerons. The leading edge automatically extended downwards in high AoA manouvers to retain control of the aircraft. The tail fin was lengthened and the rudder recieved new anti slip programming to help combat sharp nose down incidents in high G, low speed turns. The flaps would extend automatically in turns. The aircraft was equipped with a more powerful RK 550M3 engine, a derivative of the soviet Tumansky R25 afterburning turbojet, the same engine used on the MiG 21 series aircraft, giving it greater power over its predecesors. The overall weight of the aircraft was reduced as much as possible to further improve dogfighting characteristics. The cockpit was given an overhaul, by adding a digital flight computer, a well as a larger navigation system and general cockpit layout changes to improve ergonomics. The aircraft retained the missiles of the T30BM2, those being the Z60M dogfight missile, and the Z110M long range missile. The 30mm and 20mm cannons were updated to feature much higher rates of fire and more ammuntion. The t35 was never meant to go into production, as it was a frankenstein of new, experimental tech. In game, the t35 is a agile, fast and highly competent dogfighter with a powerful powerplant, designed for mid to low altitude, high intensity dogfights
