After the Great Reformation in 1903, the president of the United States would have to fly between the states to oversee and maintain the fragile balance. Due to advancements in aeronautical technology from the ingenious Eric Von Brown, the turbo fan engine eventually became common and reliable in 1921. After a third attempt on the president's life, Congress decided that the president should move around to prevent untimely demise. Every three months, and to ensure longevity of presidential elect's life, the Secret Service and the President's family (and the president obviously) are flown to any various undisclosed location throughout the Reformed United States. Lockheed won the contract for a luxurious floatplane employing recently developed jet technology to quickly and comfortably fly the president to locations near bodies of water.
