At the same time, they also tend to modernize their Armed Forces especially their navy. With the rise of pre-dreadnought battleships at the time, many nations considered to modernize their navy. Questintonia planned and designed their own Pre-Dreadnoughts and were ready to be built. But due to the lack of Industrial Capacity, they decided to build their first pre-dreadnought in Sovereign Kingdom.

Service History

Aurora, named after GA Quincy Aurora, was laid down by Badische Group in one of their shipyards in 1830. She was launched in 1833 and was completed the same year. She was commissioned in 1834 and was commanded by Captain Percy Mint. After her visit at Port Blütenstadt, she left Blüte, bound for York Shrine.

The Great War of Coalitions

Upon Questintonia's entry to war, Aurora and her sisters, Ballerina and Ice Pick, were already close to age. They were assigned into secondary roles, away from the primary warships of Questintonia. They escorted convoys that were carrying equipment and supplies bound for Sanistan Ports.

Decommissioning

After serving from 1834 to 1902, The Navy decided to retire Aurora and her sisters. They served for a total of 68 years.

Sovereign Civil War

Recommissioning
After Questintonia joined the alliance of Equestria and Crystal, The Government ordered every equipment that can still be used for defending it's territories. Aurora and her sisters were recommissioned to defend it's land.
Siege of Woodland
Aurora was commanded by Captain Paul Quiver. During the siege, Canterlotian troops were not aware that Aurora was an active warship which caused confusion among their ranks. Aurora bombarded Cannterlotian Troops during the siege slowing their advance and giving time for Qquestintonian troops regroup. She was frequently attacked by Biplanes in attempt to disable her so at the time where there is no attack, AA armaments were added for her defense.
Battle of Goodwill
She led the group of ten ships into advance in River Goodwill. She provided fire support for the advancing Questintonian troops as they fought against the well defended parts of the River. She was damaged after getting hit by two 8 inch coastal batteries which called for her to go back for repairs and was replaced by her sisters. She was able to return back into active service by early January of 1914 and was able to regroup with her squadron.
Battle of Fort Harrington
She and her riverine squadron bombarded the heavily defended Fort of Harrington as the Questintonian Troops advanced. her squadrons were repeatedly attacked by Wondercolt and Canterlotian Biplanes during the battle but manage to fend them off. During the battle, Aurora and her sisters were damaged but was never serious and were able to continue to provide fire support.

Post war service

After the war, Aurora and her sisters helped ferry troops back to Questintonia as part of Operation Home.
Decommissioning
The navy finally decided to retire Aurora and her sisters after their nine years of service in the navy in total of 77 years in active service. Aurora was successfully converted into a museum ship with the help of Equestrians.
Museum Ship
She was now owned by non-profitable group named Battleship Aurora. She is opened during weekends.
