Title : FGC-130-3-f
Type : Field gun.

Short description

130 mm field gun. Made on three-compartment scheme, which allows to conduct 360-degree fire without changing the position. It has the possibility of landing from a plane.

History

A field gun developed in 1963 for the needs of field artillery, based on the FGC-130-3 gun. During development, the gun was given the ability to land from a plane, and a three-compartment carriage to avoid problems with the firing sectors.

In the beginning, recently after development, the gun could be used to destroy tanks, but then, with the advent of MBTs, the armor penetration of the armor-piercing projectile became insufficient. Against obsolete tanks they could still perform well, but against modern tanks they were ineffective.

In 1979 the first use of this gun from an unsuitable platform was recorded. It was mounted on a truck with an open platform and received an artisanal tank fighter. Later this concept developed into a whole series of lightly armored wheeled truck-based tank fighters.

The gun was used in many military conflicts. Because of its airborne and rapid deployment capabilities, as well as its reliability (there have been cases where the gun remained operational after being drowned in a swamp), it was often used in hard-to-reach places and for staging unexpected ambushes.

control

Ag 1 Off(Firing mode)

Pitch = Vertical Aiming.
Roll = Horizontal Aiming.

Running characteristics.

The gun can be moved by hand, or towed by other equipment. It does not have its own propulsion system.

(In the SP it is there to simulate manual movement).

some instructions

  1. If you press the shot for too short a time, the gun will jam and the cartridge case will not be ejected. This is corrected by another press of the shot, which will eject the cartridge case. The gun will then reload and can be fired again.

  2. When the gun is moved to the marching position, it goes to the 0 position. Therefore, if you have turned it a lot, it may spin too much. It is recommended to return the barrel to a position close to 0. Also in the opposite direction. The gun will return to the position it was in before it went to the walk position. This must be taken into account when using it.
