In 1941, the most stable type 2 F was born on the basis of type C. Type F is equipped with a commander's command tower to better ensure the safety of observation. The front armor of the cab is changed to 35mm integrated and the side armor is 20mm, which solves the problem that the previous temporary additional armor structure is not firm, but the vehicle weight is also increased to 9.5T. The armor at the front of the car body is again changed to flat type, and spare tracks are often hung as protection. In the later stage of type F, the more powerful 20mm KWK38 (Flak38) mechanism gun was refitted.
