Grumman F6F Hellcat

63.0k EpicPigster1  6.8 years ago

MASSIVE THANKS TO @SHCow FOR FIXING THE STO-WINGS!
Here it is! My F6F-5 Hellcat, which is near 1:1 in scale! I made it in the livery of the F6F-5 White 7 VF-29 colors, belonging to Ensign Robert E. Murray of the USS Cabot.
CONTROLS:
1+VTOL: Sto-Wings!
GEAR: Realistic Landing Gear
TRIM: Trim (Use it in small increments, the elevators are extremely powerful, it will need a slight trim down.)

My first plane with exposed control surfaces!
This thing is amazing to fly, especially in cockpit view with the cockpit cage!

@Helicopterboy Do what I do now, leave a small section of wing exposed with the control surfaces. This thing was a 100% noob build.

@uzair1903 VTOL is on the left side. Trim is on the right. Get your facts straight. And the jet is in there for realistic speeds.

Well built if I must say, only thing, which you've mentioned already, is the overly powerful control surfaces, but other then that brilliant build!
P.S. You thought of making a Vought F4U Corsair, seems to fit your style. They're also quite popular lately.
