Formula Ford 1600 inspired build.
Used as a test platform for me to learn FT and develop cars that drive well so i can build fun cool cars people actually want to race when SP2 comes out.
barely 100 pieces so no performance issues.
Has extensive FT code including - Traction control, limited slip differential, detailed power curve, greatly improved steering, realistic engine drag, a slipstream/drafting system and more.
My aim was to make a slow, controllable car with high grip that is easy to learn but difficult to master, you need to preserve momentum and make small inputs to go fast, but you won't fly off the track and spin if you are aggressive, i've got ~2k hours in assetto corsa driving a lot of crap little open wheelers like this and it's pretty f'n believable if you ask me, if definitely geared towards the forgiving side.
Drives really well i'm so impressed what this little game can do. Try it out on some of the games circuit mods. Especially the nurburgring. Very nice on controller, also good on keyboard and mouse.
Use the games brake system not S key or opposite axis to drive (pitch) because no matter how hard i tried you can't make brakes and throttle on the same axis work in SP1 (thank god you can in 2)
