This is an idea I had last weekend, with the internal cockpit (minimal detail in there). I did encounter a bug, but would be counter-acted by turning off certain mods (unsure what mods).
Controls:
2+VTOL up - extend landing hook
3 - eject
4 - release bombs+fuel tanks
5+VTOL up - flaps
6+VTOL up - open canopy
7 - fire all missiles
8 - flight controls+engines
