Sabre... Dog...
DAWG
Behold! An F-86D.
Not really too much to say here. I wanted to make the Sabredog because I felt like we didn't have enough, and I could be wrong, but I don't think SP has any F-86Ds in this particular orange livery. Well, that, and another thing;
Many if not all F-86Ds with realistic/accurate armament in SimplePlanes suffer from what I like to call "rocket flukes." Rockets in SP are lethal if they hit an opponent, but they have their weakenesses, namely being hard to aim since rocket speed can't be adjusted. Along with that, there's the fact that any plane with the variable disableAircraftCollisions
set to true
will essentially be
to rockets. And before you say it, yes, I'm pretty sure.
So I've developed a solution. Using @Seemeing's flak code (genuinely my favorite FT code in all of SP lol), I used cannons as substitutes for rockets, as the "shells" (which are, in this case, rockets) will explode near their target, performing the same function, just actually doing their job right. Plus, more ammo, yippee!!!
Also has a VR cockpit for those of you interested.
'Tis all today,
Happy Hunting!
This Sabre puts the "happy" in "happy hunting," bro has got no thoughts in his head, he's just happy to be here.

@CrestelAeronautics Ohhh
She's around here somewhere, she ran into one of the Scorpions as a matter of fact
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
No
Remember when you made this mostrosity?
Yea, where WSO?
@CrestelAeronautics In the back seat (F-89 has two seats)
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
Where WSO?
@Karroc9522 Technically 7 though, since #2 is just #1 with even an more OP flight model, and #8 never existed in any vicinity (I'm willing to give #3 a pass since it's just a combination of two real variants, and I'm overlooking it having missiles instead of rockets because air-to-air rockets in SP are broken 😭). We could even dock it down to 6, since #4 didn't use blueprints and isn't as +90%-accurate to scale or shape as a dedicated replica. However, I did forget two: YF-93 and Ohio F-86. The YF-93 began life as the F-86C, and the Ohio F-86 is just a buffed F-86, but I'm only counting the YF-93/F-86C since the base for the Ohio F-86 was built by someone else.
Simply put, I need to make more Sabres!
@TheUltimatePlaneLover dayum
@CrestelAeronautics Don't worry, we're getting F-89J
He's gonna be the last of the pack though, F-89B is next, then D, then finally J. If I'm feeling silly I'll release my own experimental version of the F-89 after J)
@Karroc9522
1. PEA F-86H (I believe my first Sabre)
2. Supercharged F-86H (unreleased custom PEA F-86H variant)
3. F-86D-Mod (My first attempt at an F-86D with missiles for rockets and F-86K guns, it was good but I felt it was lacking in the field of aesthetics)
4. -[Sabre]- (Simple version of an F-86 I made without blueprints)
5. North American F-86F Sabre (One of my best replicas even to this day, and my second most upvoted post, only surpassed by the T-34-girl)
6. SimpleSabre (An F-86F I made in a simplistic, PEA-esque style)
7. SimpleHabre (Ditto, but F-86H instead of F-86F)
8. SimpleSabreKein (Ditto, but it's the F-86F, and with R2Y2 wings)
9. This
@TheUltimatePlaneLover
