@Type2volkswagen True, in the world of steampunk fiction, physics does not exactly follow its counterpart in real life... That said, a steam engine, given enough air (from outside the boat with a VERY large snorkel) and fuel, could theoretically work under water...
@ThomasRoderick the Paddles wouldn't work under water, but then neither would a steam powered sub....
In this World, some rules are solid, some can be bent, and some can be ignored.......
How and why would a paddle wheel work under water?
