[OG] [PEA] SU-41X Super Flanker II

Auto Credit Based on Zilozite's ! [NORTHSTAR] [PEA] SU-33SM (Ground Attack)

notable setback, the engines underperform whenever the boost isn't on. they cant push it even to 600 mph, and they can struggle in a dogfight to regain speed, and they overperform when the burner is on, which can help in certain situations.

i purposefully didnt include an instant afterburner, as i anticipated for the engines to be weaker. its part of the lore.

controls in aircraft instructions. same as Folly's jet, just with the original Livery i put on it when i first made it.

i cant make or remake a good jet without using my signature YM-22 Lancer Missiles!

WARNING: BAD LORE

"the Wisterian Air Force (WAF) needed a new multirole fighter jet platform, with good performance in all aspects of combat, and with the ability to perform naval operations. they had an abundance of Su-33 somuas, so they tasked Yukon Armories and Fractal Co with creating the contenders for the new platform, which would be based off the su-33s."

"Fractal created a powerful, fast platform, and changed most about the su-33, bringing money concerns to the table. it was able to carry out strike and ground attack missions quick and easy, but it lacked prowess in the air superiority category due to its lesser maneuverability, cashed in for speed of up to mach 2.6, part of Fractal's recycled engine concept of using nuclear power."

"Yukon took a different approach. they kept thrust vectoring engines, but changed them to include a second option for a quick boost of speed. the engine would expel a fast particle jet out the back at max throttle, which could propel it up to mach 1.45. it wasn't the fastest, not faster than Fractal's approach, but it was lighter, and had an increased capacity for air to air missions, and much better maneuverability while still keeping some power in the air to ground category."

"the WAF went for Yukon's approach due to its balance in all missions it would be sent on, crowned the Su-41X Super Flanker II. while stealth was on the rise, Wisteria frequently had dogfights occuring. their flankers were somewhat sufficient, but rotting and getting old. the Su-41 was the next step in the war against the FADU."

"Fractal turned to help develop their concept with other nations."

heres a much better super flanker. i was unaware this one existed, and its very similar to what i originally wanted the su-41 to be.
