The T-22 was a german torpedo boat in WW2 and was part of the German T-39 class. Launched in 1941 and commisioned in ‘42 she was present at the Battle of Sept-Îles and the battle of the bay of biscay. She was lost the night of august 17 and 18 when while out laying mines with her sisterships T-23, T-30, and T-32. While minelaying the T-30 struck a mine disabling its electrical system, shortly after the T-32 hit two mines blowing her bow off and killing her engines. A magazine explosion not long after sent her to the bottom and finally at 1:14 am a mine hit the T-22 sinking her with 143 crew. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germantorpedoboat_T22 .
