Being almost externally identical to the C model, the F-19C Block 30/32 featured minor handling improvements that were barely noticeable to pilots. The only significant change externally was the implementation of two dual-pylons, however an additional missile was mountable on each of the pylons if ground crew felt that it was necessary. It came with an identical modifiable loadout as the F-19C did. The second major external change was the removal of the double air vectoring splitter found at the bottom of the aircraft as it was deemed unnecessary and was classified as dead weight. The third and final change was the ability to carry more internal fuel and mount larger external fuel tanks. However, the team did not stop there. The avionics were modified once again to implement the new Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT) prevention technology. The system included a new obstacle avoidance and fly-by-wire system. The changes implemented allowed test pilots to achieve Mach flight and break the sound barrier in an unloaded F-19C Block 30/32.
