The Medium Tank Type 59 is a main battle tank that served in the midst of the Cold War. Alongside with the T60 (Palais), T61 (Apaosha), and T63 (Tianquan), they form the Ark's main armoured force.
Development
Work on the T59 project was started as a replacement for older tanks within the Ark's armoured division composing of older light and medium tanks. The T59A1 variant was equipped with first-generation IRCCM and a 152 mm cannon mainly firing HEAT rounds.
The Sumeru Armed Forces still use the A1 variant for gunnery training.
