@orendel I recently had to explain to some idiot on instagram that the attack on Dresden was technically a War Crime on the part of the Allies. I'm sorry to hear it and I hate the fact that my country did that to yours.

    My sincerest apologies...

@orendel WW2 was a horror on a global scale. Bombing civilian infrastructure was commonplace on all sides. That speaks about human nature. To win, no matter the cost.

@EternalDarkness My hometown burned to ashes on 2/13/1945. People in Dresden are somewhat more empathic to the victims of bombing raids.

@orendel ah, the 1999 bombing. Completely pointless and uncalled for. But that's politics. I was a kid back then, but I remember it quite well. It wasn't really that scary here. I even saw F-117 getting shot down. It was hit over a village around 15km from where I live. Looked like a shooting star.

@EternalDarkness BTW I'm regretting that there were German bombers over your country in 1999. That was a shame. Just like in 1941...
The end does not justify the means.

@orendel Serbia is too small for that. If it flies, it flies nearby. I'm around 10km from the largest military/air force base in Serbia, directly under the final approach to the two main runways.

Didn't know this. German law obstructs me to see or at least hear military planes. @EternalDarkness

@orendel they aren't that loud. MiG-29s are far louder, especially when afterburning.
