Designed to drop its ordnance, then act as an air superiority fighter, making use of its variable-geometry wings to outmaneuver enemies.

Although originally designed to carry nuclear weapons in its internal bay, recent events at snowstone island have prompted retrofitting of the bay to carry conventional guided munitions.
