About

The Su-47 Berkut (NATO reporting name “Firkin”) is an experimental forward-swept wing fighter developed by Sukhoi to test advanced aerodynamic concepts for next-generation aircraft. Designed primarily as a technology demonstrator, it showcased remarkable agility and control at extreme angles of attack, emphasizing supermaneuverability over stealth or operational practicality. The aircraft features forward-swept wings, canards, all-moving tailplanes, and thrust-vectoring engines, allowing controlled flight well beyond conventional limits. Though only one prototype was built, its research data directly influenced later Russian fighters such as the Su-57. The name “Berkut” means Golden Eagle, symbolizing its role as a testbed for the future of Russian air superiority.

Features

This build replicates all realistic moving surfaces, including the forward-swept wings and articulated canards. The airframe allows for extreme post-stall performance, maintaining stability during high-alpha maneuvers.

The cockpit features a functional HUD, integrating real-time flight data, targeting symbology, and artificial horizon indicators.

@EmpirePersia2500 okay man I just added my MFDs as is since they were based on the su-35 cockpit anyways. U can play with the ILS function I was experimenting with and move the ILS button to somewhere nicer. Cool build btw

@Monarchii yup! One side contains the parachute for landing and the other was supposed to house the radar. Not sure why they made it asymmetric but if I had to guess it would probably be that they took the rear radar boom off the Su-27 and changed as little as possible to save resources. The longer boom housed the parachute which had to stick out more for clearance from the rear stabilisers.

is the err... is the roundy-thingy between the engine and rudder really offset like that? I don't know much about planes but I feel like I should atleast mention it, if nothing else for my ignorance, apologies.
