This cannon was designed for the ghost of Evel Knievel to clear the South Runway. Like a good Evel stunt, it doesn't work perfectly every time. Use VTOL to control barrel pitch, yaw to rotate, and brakes to stop. Press AG 1 to fire. Around 1/4 down VTOL to fire down the runway. For a bonus stunt, try firing it towards the mountains off to the left of the South Runway. I was able to clear one of the shorter peaks one time out of a dozen attempts.
