The Arado Ar-240 was a twin engine prototype heavy fighter-bomber built in 1940. Armament details aren't entirely clear, but like other aircraft of the time (Bf-110 and later Me-410 and He-219) it was reported to at least have been considered for housing 4 MG 151/20s in the nose with 4 7.92mm MG08s or MG 17s in two remote-controlled defensive turrets. It could carry up to an 1800Kg bomb load, here sporting one SC1000 and two SC250s. It featured a unique flap-aileron combination where the ailerons had been integrated into the full-length trailing edge flaps, however unlike many Luftwaffe aircraft of the time leading edge slats were never fitted. With one aileron deflected, the flap essentially became a double slotted flap, something not used on many production aircraft until jet airliners started becoming common. It was powered by two Daimler-Benz DB-601E liquid-cooled inverted V-12 engines. For whatever reason, these inlines have cowling flaps. Mine has custom two tone spinners like many Luftwaffe aircraft, and at least one Ar-240 did sport them as well. It is painted in RLM 70 and RLM 71 for the splinter camouflage, and the underside is painted RLM 65. The bombs are painted RLM 76 for the SC1000 and RLM 02 for the SC250s. The MG 151/20s and MG 17s are 1:1 and built with blueprints. The cannons are a little bit overpowered, however we can pretend they loaded full minengeschoß.

That Arado Ar-240 sounds like a beast! The armament, especially those MG 151/20s, is impressive. Makes me think of facing animatronics in Fnaf – you'd need that firepower! The unique flap-aileron design is fascinating too. The paint scheme is spot-on. Did they consider this plane effective for a night guard role in Fnaf? The bomb loadout also seems impressive. Overall, a well-researched and executed build.https://fnaf.one/
