Mig 21 Bison:
In 1964, the MiG-12 fighter jet was inducted into the Indian Air Force as the first supersonic fighter jet. Initially these jets were made in Russia and then India also acquired the rights and technology to assemble this aircraft. After which Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) started production of MiG-21 fighter aircraft under license from 1967. Russia stopped manufacturing this aircraft in 1985, but India has been using its upgraded variant. The MiG-21 also played an important role in the 1971 and 1999 Kargil war with Pakistan. The MiG-21 Bison fighter aircraft is an upgraded version of the MiG-21. Due to which it can be used for the next 3 to 4 years.

This version is used only by the Indian Air Force. Other countries use its different variants. As of September 2018, the Air Force had around 120 MiG-21 aircraft.

Bison VS Falcon:

The MiG-21 Bison is the same fighter aircraft through which Wing Commander Abhinandan of the Indian Air Force shot down a Pakistani F-16 after the Balakot airstrike. However, Pakistan has never been able to openly accept this truth. Because, neither the US nor Pakistan was acceptable to defeat the modern fighter aircraft F-16, which is called the backbone of the Pakistani Air Force, from the fighter aircraft of about 60 years old.

Actually, Russia developed it for use only during the Cold War against America. China produces this aircraft under the name Chengdu J-7. India is the third largest country in the world to use this aircraft after Russia and China. However, there is talk of replacing it with the indigenous Tejas fighter aircraft in future.

    @IndianJackhammer I was wondering if you could make a MiG-15?

    @IndianJackhammer Sure!

    @Jamalbee1244 Affirm, I agree, let's close the debate

    @IndianJackhammer Yeah, personally ithink Chinese pilots are not as good as indian or Pakistani pilots. And the Su-30MKK is used by the PLAAF, so they may be able to station chinese planes in PAF bases across Pakistan to counter air superiority.

    @Jamalbee1244 Rafale is a canard winged, and as for China helping PAF counter SU30, they can only tell them the weak points of the airframe, the major difference in the air depends on the pilot who is flying the machine. As always no hate indeed.

    @IndianJackhammer Yeah, no hate but the PAF would have better pilots, another things is Pakistan knows how to counter Delta-wing aircraft as they have the Mirage-5 & 3 another thing is that Pakistan has china, the most major operater of the Su-27, so in a war. China could help pakistan counter the Su-30MKI, if India bought the Gripen (since indian pilots have never really flown a canard wing aircraft) they would be killed by the F-16’s of the PAF, anyways no hate!

    @Jamalbee1244 I was saying that the Bison's prime role is doing intercepts, and for that, we have got the Miraage and the SU-30, and American jets are not the only option, Swedish made JAS-39 Gripen or the Eurofighter Typhoon could also be a bette choice, in terms of more output per dollar, as compared to some top notch fighters, F15 is also versatile like them but we you told that PAF knows about the Avionics of American Planes, so.

    @IndianJackhammer India could but the F-15 but Pakistan had been flying American planes for a long time so they know how to kill them

    @Cobrafighters Retiring is the only option, we've already got Miraage ane Su-30MKI for intercepts.

    @IndianJackhammer we can reassign the MiG-21 as a high alt interceptor, or we can retire it.

    As an Indian I can safely say this plane IS NOT a trainer. Flying a MiG 21 requires experience with stalling and recovering plus keeping your speed up
