    Self Driving:
Yes, to an extent. I haven't really thought about that. By default, its just the status quo of the united states today: Its available, cars have it, people use it, but its not overwhelming mainstream. I dont plan to change it from that. I guess the lore explanation would be a variety of lack of trust due to past incidents (and thus possible legislative barriers).
    EVs:
EVs have become more mainstream, but are still second to ICE equipped vehicles. Infastructure has been expanded for them, and they have become similar to normal vehicles in proliferation, with many options and price ranges available. Hybrids are especially common.
For emergency services at least, EVs and hybrids have become more mainstream in urban areas with the infrastructure to support them. This is especially true for non-front line or non-emergency roles. Very few agencies have adopted EVs as their mainstay fleet vehicle.
    .
What do you think? I'd love your input on this topic.

@WisconsinStatePolice interesting, and also, do ev's or really any futuristic vehicles that have some kind of self driving canonically exist too? i mean it is 2048 afterall

only a certain few. KFD retired the Crown Victoria in the early 2020s, and the last few are transferred to the fire inspection bureau. The Bureau of fire inspection doesn't abuse their vehicles as much as Keene's other agencies, so the vics survive a little longer. They maintain a few until the mid 2040's for public events and recruiting in addition to normal daily duties. The end is approaching soon though, as parts are getting more expensive and the bureau only has two left in the fleet as the others have been cannibalized or gone out of service.

The only agencies I have that currently(2048) operate the crown victoria for normal operations/duties are:

    Monroe Forest PD
    Hedgesville Fire Rescue
    Springhill PD
    Marion PD
    Valentine PD
    Cory PD
    Village of Saint Peter Police
Some unmarked units for various law enforcement agencies

wait, if this livery is used until 2040, does that mean that vehicles, including really old ones like the crown vic canonically has a very long lifespan in your AU?
