Description

This is a homemade turbine attached to a generator in order to produce electric current. The turbine has 7 levels of speed, the first one has N rpm, the second 2N rpm, the third 3N rpm...

The generator can work as a single-phase alternator or as a three-phase AC generator. In this model, the mono-phase mode is working. The spinning momentum comes from a current of water that goes trough the turbine, and there, exchanges its kinetic energy with the blades in order to create a variable magnetic field that induces a AC flow trough the coils of the alternator.

Annotations

The 5 blue arrows show the direction of the water current. The green light indicates when the turbine is working correctly, and the red light indicates that the turbine is rotating backwards.

The control panel doesn't work, is only for decoration, but maybe, in future versions, it will be funcional. The turbine is made up by 7 plates of stainless steel, each one with a total of 16 blades. They can spin at different speed, completely independent from the other plates.

@Vtp28 Well, for a small reactor, yes. But for big ones, like nuclear or huge thermal reactors, no.
