My next project, the RQ-120 Wisp, a H.A.L.E. recon drone designed as a replacement for the MQ-1 Predator. Features x2 AGM-114 Hellfire missiles for targets of interest (T.O.I.), a wide wingspan for long-range and excellent fuel-efficiency, and best of all, a high-powered spy camera that actually zooms!
Just began building this yesterday and already 1 day after beginning, I've already got the basic aircraft built. Probably my quickest build yet.
AG-1 = Activate Camera Rotating Turret (VTOL up and down; Trim for left to right)
AG-2 + throttle = Zoom camera
WARNING: Do NOT rotate turret when camera is zoomed, or else the camera will break!

Thanks. The design and role was inspired off of the Lockheed Martin Polecat and RQ-3 Darkstar drones.
its going to be a cool plane. it flies very nicely also.@JohnnyBoythePilot

I'm also going to add a autopilot/hold feature so you can operate the camera without interfering with the aircraft's controls. Probably gonna use a combination of locked flight controls and gyros.

Ah it's cool man, I just got over a cold not too long ago as well. For the zoom feature, I used a piston and set the range it extends out to like 100,000. It works great, but it can be a bit tedious and prone to breaking under certain circumstances.
sorry i havent tested out your new plane yet ive been sick over a week. just starting to feel better@JohnnyBoythePilot
very cool! how u do that?@JohnnyBoythePilot
@Texasfam04
Check this out dude, I made a working zoom camera!
