1940s Interceptor Challenge

1,185 Anonymous445  5.9 years ago
Auto Credit Based on Anonymous445's Bachem Ba-349 Natter

This is a challenge for a bomber destroyer with 1945 Nazi German technology (props, limited jets and rockets, unguided missiles and machine guns, and nothing more.). Based on the challenge issued by RLM near the close of WWII, it has to be a lightweight and fast interceptor capable of knocking at the very least 3 B-17 bombers out of the sky. It cannot be a Ba-349, but it can be one of the other proposals, or fictional plane of your or anyone else's imagination. (Please make it as a successor of this, even if you use no parts from the actual plane)

@Planenut2017! Their design best captured the spirit of the challenge, and was generally decent to fly. Congratulations! You get... Upvotes!

@pilotred233 as long as it is a squadron of b-17s, then it doesn’t matter at all

@Anonymous445 no I don't mean by that! I mean what model of b17, since there are many models players have build you have to specify it. Or maybe put a link to it.

@pilotred233 b-17s were just the standard bomber

Well, by B-17s I mean heavy bombers, the count of bombers doesn’t count as much on tests as they do on range and firepower, but you can download a B-17 squadron, set them to aggressive and spawn them within range if you want to test it. Fighters do count as interceptors in a way, and it does not have to be a wunderwaffe but it would help

I have many questions, do fighters count as interceptors? Does it need to be a wunderwaffe? What do you mean by the b17s and how will we test them on the b17s?
