Shortfire Mk.1

10.6k Trijetz  4.9 years ago

The Shortifre, developed in 1943, was simply a lighter version of the Spitifre. The aircraft was built from ideas of the Spitfire Mk.1, the Spitfire Mk.24, and the P-36 Hawk. It is capable of carrier operations. The short-fire has a shortened fuselage, lighter armor, and it is armed with x2 Hispano 404 cannons mounted on the nose for the best accuracy. Its takeoff speed is around 100 mph. Landing speed is around 90mph, and brakes aren't needed, but you DO have brakes just for the extra touch. It is super manuverable, almost Britian's Japanese Zero. Enjoy!

@Mmdben thanks! I originally got this idea from journaling in my book during school, and I finally made this design!

@ChiyomiAnzai yeah, I took the inspiration from the P-36 Hawk.
