The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, origionally called the RS-71, Is undoubtedly on of the best aircraft on the planet. It came from the wonderful minds of Lockheeds "Skunk Works". The aircraft came from an air force request for a high altitude stealth aircraft, and the endangered U2 "Dragon Lady". The aircrafts unique design makes it stealthy and fast. The aircraft flies so high that pilots are required to wear pressure suits. The aircraft is also made of titanium, a metal that makes the aircraft STRONGER on each flight. As heat friction goes across the airplane, the titanium gets stronger. The SR-71 is the fastest manned airplane ever made.
