BAI RFSGV Mk.1 Servalightning

Banana Aerospace Industries won’t keep you waiting for long and is once again presenting its latest project! This time, it’s something completely new for the company – the Reconnaissance and Fire Support Ground Vehicle, or RFSGV Mk.1 “Servalightning”. It’s a lightly armored wheeled platform, designed both for independent close- and medium-range reconnaissance operations and for joint action with infantry as a highly mobile fire support asset.

BACKGROUND:
As Banana Aerospace Industries grew and expanded its influence (surprise, surprise), competition also began to rise — not only with local bandit groups but also with other underground workshops. Over time, beyond just half-naked thugs with rusty AKs and their own stupidity, BAI forces started to face much more serious opponents. Their old “Toyota” technicals with machine guns could no longer handle the threat, and fighting solely in the air wasn’t an option either.
On top of that, people — or at least something resembling them — started to run short, as the company’s armed forces expanded rapidly. As a result, the army had to start recruiting all sorts of different primates. Logically, aviation control proved to be a bit of a challenge for them.
In the end, after a couple of days and several liters of moonshine, “higher command” issued a directive: create an indigenous ground platform that would surpass the old technicals in protection, firepower, and equipment, while not becoming much more complicated or expensive to maintain, and simple enough to operate that even the most talentless monkeys could handle it.

SPECIFICATIONS:
The “Servalightning” is a fairly classic vehicle for its class, very similar in many ways to the veteran HMMWV. Overall, the platform is highly versatile: the turret can mount almost any weapon system, be replaced entirely, or even removed along with part of the roof. This version also features a small cargo bay, useful for carrying extra supplies or even a couple of troops when operating alongside other combat units.
But BAI wouldn’t be BAI if things were that simple! First, the controls are implemented just like on aircraft — via a control yoke. Second, as with their stealth aircraft (the XF-1 and FB-2), the entire vehicle is covered in a unique radar-absorbent coating made from banana peels, which significantly reduces the chance of being hit by radar-guided missiles, especially when combined with other countermeasures. The in-house–developed engine runs on a new banana-based fuel with a reduced risk of ignition if the fuel system or tanks are damaged. Once again, the vehicle is protected all around by light bullet-resistant armor, made from a unique BAI-developed composite consisting of layered metal, aramid (Kevlar-type), shock-absorbing inserts, and thin layers of glue-like polymer.
In this configuration, the RFSGV Mk.1 is armed with:
A single high-rate 20mm autocannon with 250 rounds, effective against all kinds of targets.
Four multipurpose missiles, essentially scaled-down versions of BAI’s long-used Guardian missiles. They are intended both for self-defense against aerial attacks and for the precise destruction of heavily armored targets and fortifications.
