EF-39 “Falchion” Multirole Fighter

The EF-39 Falchion is a medium-cost, 4++ generation multirole fighter developed for the export market as a direct competitor to the Eurofighter Typhoon and Dassault Rafale. While retaining the Typhoon’s proven aerodynamic layout featuring close-coupled canards and delta wings, the Falchion integrates subtle stealth shaping across its fuselage and intakes to reduce radar cross-section. The twin outward-angled vertical stabilizers replace the Typhoon’s single fin, improving yaw stability and signature control, while the wings feature a slight anhedral angle for enhanced maneuverability and roll response.

Designed for affordability, adaptability, and ease of maintenance, the EF-39 combines mature 4th-generation aerodynamics with selective 5th-generation materials and avionics. Advanced sensor fusion, AESA radar, and IRST systems enable effective beyond-visual-range and multirole operations. With a lower acquisition and operational cost than its Western counterparts, the Falchion provides allied nations with a capable, flexible platform suited for modern air combat and strike missions without the high price of stealth-dedicated fighters.
