The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 is an American trijet wide-body airliner known for its three engines (two under the wings and one at the base of the vertical stabilizer) and its capacity to carry a large number of passengers. It was developed as a successor to the DC-8 for long-range operations and competed with other wide-body airliners like the Boeing 747 and Airbus A300. The DC-10's production ended in 1988, but some versions continue in use as cargo carriers and air tankers.
Two engines are mounted on underwing pylons, while a third engine is located at the base of the vertical stabilizer.
The DC-10 was designed to carry a large number of passengers, with up to 399 in a single-class configuration.
It was capable of both domestic and international routes, with various models offering different ranges and capabilities.
Production began in 1968 and ended in 1988, with approximately 450 DC-10s delivered. Several variants were produced, including cargo versions (DC-10 Convertible Freighter) and the KC-10 Extender (US Air Force air-to-air refueling tanker).
The DC-10 was designed to address the need for more passenger capacity in the post-jet age.
The DC-10 faced initial safety concerns related to design defects, particularly with cargo doors.
Despite initial issues, the DC-10 continued to be used extensively as a passenger airliner and later transitioned to cargo and specialized roles.
The DC-10 was succeeded by the MD-11, a more advanced version that retained the tri-jet configuration.
In summary, the DC-10 was a significant wide-body tri-jet airliner that played a role in passenger and cargo transportation for several decades, with many of its descendants still in service today.

@JP11 ah I see. Makes sense tbh. I misinterpreted it. The comment gave me aggressive vibes. Hard to tell through a screen.
@N908QD He's not even being rude. It's just that he's tired of it and is being really honest about it. This user keeps begging for ratings as if the planes were his own.
The reason @Inuyasha is talking about "milking" is because all LosLevhartcustoms does is make planes based on Inuyasha's builds. Any build this user has made on their own is mediocre at best (not trying to insult—just take a look at the builds).
It's okay to make small changes at the beginning—after all, you're a new player. But at this point, you really shouldn't base your entire persona on modifying someone else's builds.
@Inuyasha8215 Why are you being so rude? He didn’t do anything. If you don’t want people to “milk off your planes”, then put a policy on it.
Maybe he used them to transform them into entirely different planes. 7/10 ❤️💯 btw.
3/10, Can't cruise properly at FL370, bad landing characteristics, try doing more research next time instead of just milking off my planes.
@Olliebollie542 Okay sure I can do all of them. But the A330 and the DC8 weren't made yet. Luckily i have blueprints for it so it'll take a while.
