(Airplane based on Mig-25 Foxbat) The version SMT Foxbat F, was developed from the PDSL version with electronic countermeasures, fulfilling the requirement of an interceptor with greater autonomy and combat capacity. The solution was to recover the old Mig-25 stored in the hangars and to replace 50% of its pieces with others of composite materials and lighter alloys. When weighing less, a more powerful engine was used, but it provided better autonomy, without depleting the original power. Finally, the cockpit and dorsal fairings were refurbished with new avionics and a more efficient detection radar. Although only 11 units have been upgraded, the aircraft is in service at Klyuchi Air Base, on the Kamchatka peninsula.
