The SeabCo design bureau, seeing the success of the C.1, decided to go ahead with a flying boat version, to transport troops to small islands. This was a relatively simple conversion, needing only the fitting of floats and a hull. It is amphibious, so can also take off and land on runways. It carries a cre of 7, for navigation and logistics, and equips 4 squadons of the YAF. This is an aircraft of 30 Sqn, for maritime patrol, and has been used in all previous campaigns.
