history

The aircraft was created at the end of 1942, to repel bomber attacks at altitude. Not all zenteks could reach them, and fighters did not have time to gain altitude. The solution to the problem was the creation of this plane.

It featured a very good climbing speed and a powerful engine. And the low wing loading and stall speed made it possible to place it on airfields with short runways. During the test flights, it was able to gain 3.5 kilometers of altitude in one minute, after the start of acceleration. It took four and a half minutes to reach an altitude of ten kilometers.

This, combined with good maneuverability at altitude and powerful cannons, which were first installed on the fighter (the first use of 23mm cannons on a fighter), left no chance for enemies flying at altitude. The escort fighters were not able to resist at this altitude and tried to draw the planes down, but it did not work.

The airplane became a very dangerous enemy, but it was impossible to produce very many units because of the high cost.

1. The maximum altitude that it was possible to climb: 17,432 meters. But he can't fight properly there. He doesn't need to fight there. No one but him can climb to such an altitude (of his possible opponents). Maximum combat altitude: 14,000 meters. It is no longer needed, and the flight characteristics are dropping.
2. You don't want to have a maneuvering battle near the ground. The plane is big and easy to hit. It's better to go to altitude. The enemy will have no chance against you there.
3. Guns often overheat. Shoot in short bursts.
