(yes this is just another gateway to write my stupid lore in)
History
The Konikson E82 was a phone developed, designed and manufactured by Konikson Communications, and was released in 1997.
Development started in 1995, with goals to make the phone as slim and small as possible. The E82 however did not perform well, due to its limited size restricting further development, with a canceled E82i version. As a result, the E82 were surpassed by much more advanced phones, such as the Motorola StarTAC, featuring a lithium ion battery, instead of the E82's unreliable Nickel-metal hydride battery.
The E82 were originally only sold as CDMA versions for the Squid network (formerly known as Liberty City Telecommunications Corporation (LCTC) with GSM versions coming out later that year.
