The Battle-Tank-66 Rhodope Mk I was designed from the ground up not only to replace the aging and poorly built BT-61 but to also outperform any adversaries in combat within geography similar to that of Bull Grey Rah (ie, hills valleys rivers and mountains with little roads). To meet federal requirements, the production version weighs in at 35.7 to 35.9 tonnes, and to stay under 36 tonnes it does not feature a kevlar liner or anything to reduce spall injury, all units entering domestic service will be fitter with kevlar liner and applique plates to enhance survivability at cost of weight. The original <36 tonne requirement was meant to appeal on the market as a lightweight but capable MBT, as most real life counterparts were above 40 tonnes, with the T-55 weighing in at 36 tonnes, and the Japanese Type-61 weighs 35 tonnes.
Its weight of <36 tonnes paired with a powerplant producing 700hp gives it 17-20hp per tonne (depending on equipment like kevlar liner, applique plates, spare parts, if tools are on board, and if any extra stowage is present), allowing it easily crest hills wade rivers and even climb mountains.

@TeodoroG ight.
I already looked it up.
@SimplyElegant Also, many WWII era tanks were using intercoms (often simple throat mics with an amplifier), for example the Tiger I and Panther used the Bordssprechgerat intercom, the T-34-85 used the TPU-3-bisF intercom, and late Sherman variants used the SCR-508/528.
@SimplyElegant I doubt Spin doesn't have some kind of intercom to use on ground vehicles.
@TeodoroG if he even has it.
@SimplyElegant Then I can just simply buy it, and by 'borrowing' that isn't exactly what I meant, I just worded it wrong.
@TeodoroG
“Accepted, however as the conditions of our alliance I request the following from you: You grant me full access to the Danube river, allow me to install military infrastructure in your territory (with your approval on position), and access to your airspace. In return you will get: Full airspace coverage for air defense, requests for military and/or economic assistance, Priority queue for access in the Bosporus Strait between the Mediterranean and Black Sea, and 10% discounts on all Spinnish exported aircraft, weapons, and ground vehicles, (ships not included). Deal?“
Doesn’t say a lick of “borrowing” from spin.
Only buying.
@SimplyElegant So? Spin agreed and set the terms. Your alliance with him really doesn't change much in this case.
@TeodoroG I have the oldest and strongest alliance with him.
@SimplyElegant Also, I have an alliance deal with Spin, and part of the terms allow me to borrow military equipment meaning the intercom can simply be borrowed from Spin and installed on the tank. The T-34-85 and even Shermans used intercoms, not that hard to get one installed on a vehicle as they were common by the 1950s
@SimplyElegant here
@TeodoroG mk
@SimplyElegant No, B1's new map clearly states that a new year is added every Friday, it says the year is 1967, and the last edit on it was last week.
@TeodoroG but still, the tiger was an expensive and complex nightmare.
@TeodoroG its 1959
@SimplyElegant And it's not like I'm mass producing the tank, only two brigades have it in service
@SimplyElegant pretty sure it is 1968 right now, also the Tiger I had an intercom
@TeodoroG an intercom?
In 1959, on a tank?
In an undeveloped country?
@SimplyElegant i dont think its that much though
I am sure.
You don’t have all that.
