We may consider procuring this revolver in limited quantities for a survival kit due to the 12-gauge shotgun. While we find it quite a gimmick for combat, we found it useful for door breaching and signal flares.

As a door breacher, it works well. However, we have tens of thousands of shotguns in our arsenal. However, for downed pilots, it would eliminate the need to carry either a flare gun and could render .38 Flare obsolete.

Btw, the black bar on the left is for the cylinder axis pin, as the M82 is a fixed-frame revolver with a swing-out cylinder.
