Operation Overlord just started,and these aircraft were launched from carriers to dive bomb their targets. AM and US had worked together to make this, an amazing, quikly, bomber that could be catapulted from carriers and bomb. Because of that, it wasnt made for taking off runways. Only carriers with catapults. Speed was important as it went at about 265 mph.
On one side, you see the us insigna, and the other, it says am. On the wings, it has the AM logo, red circle with white circle in it.
